What is your favorite downrigger rod? Going to get serious with my downrigger (Scotty). Should be just the thing when I am anchored up. Would like to know what works for you.
Thank you.
Shakespear makes a downrigger Rod in both the bigwater series and the tiger stick, ol' Wak'm&stak'm and I used them on scotty strong arms last summer in the big blue.they worked great.RJ

I have a pair of Shimano 8 1/2 ft TDR series rods, one medium and one medium heavy. Like the medium the best. For 40$ each you can't beta em'
Good luck and tight lines, Jeff images/icons/grin.gif images/icons/grin.gif

I had the shakespear mentioned above, nice rod at a nice price. Never had a problem with it until I brought my brother fishing and he fell into the rod rack when a wave hit us, of all the rods to break it happens to be mine. Oh well. good thing we were on our way home.
