Things are still slow at Billy Chinook but what a beautiful day for my 1st trip to the Metolius arm in 2007. Got to the launch just before 7AM, elklaker joined me once again. About a dozen rigs in the parking lot, we beat the big rush because there were easily 50 boats out there later on, but there are many square miles to fish.
Its nice to not have to wear cold weather gear to fish.

I got the first bite about an hour in, half way up to the boat he got off. Then elklaker nailed a decent one.

We fished all the way up to the island and made a few runs that elklaker knew from years before and nothing. So we motored up to a few spots by Perry South where we had each gotten out previuos personal best bulls. Finally started marking lots of fish and elklaker nailed this guy,

He had the hot hand again as I never got another bite but I will leave you with a couple shots from the day.

Yes it is good to see you out on the water again Joe. And thanks for letting me share it with you. Anytime you have an open seat you just let me know. The company is always good with you and the equipment makes for a comfortable trip.Looks like that large one was at least 30+ inches as I compare it to photos of measured fish. Thanks again:bowdown:
