VHF Antenna

Has anyone mounted a base loaded antenna to the top of the w/s frame on an alumn boat with an L bracket.
If so what kind of range will it get ?

Don't bother with the base loaded antennas - go with a 8' fiberglass antenna instead - much better performance. Digital Series 500 is what you will want
