Just putting out some feelers on riffe lake. I fish it every year, and for the last 3 years i have seemed to miss the real good time to hit the lake for kokes. I know that it is usually pretty early in the year, i think that it is usually around like june that it gets good. I remember a few years ago we hit it up and caught the heck out of the fish and got into some nice 17-18 inch range fish. Anyone know anything about the good time of year, let me know.

Wing Man,
that does sound good, i will keep that in mind for this year. What part of the lake did you guys hit up? We usually hit the boat launch by the fishing bridge. Also, if you are ever back and like perch, at that boat launch if you look north up the lake there is a weed line that goes up the lake 600 yards or so that is loaded with perch, we caught a few in the 11" range.

Sorry i havent replied back i have been fishing the clear water for a couple of days. When we were there we fished behind the dam, as close to the dam as you can get.

Anybody know how water clarity is right now? I heard about 8 weeks ago it was very brown- has it improved since then?

Thinking of going up there on Sat. if it's not too murky.

The water still has a frosty, glacial silt color to it..probably will for most of the spring but should be a good fishing color by mid-June when the Kokes are hapenning.

Saw it yesterday and I'd say its "steelhead green".

Pretty glacial looking for a lake.

hope that helps,
