tribal permits?

does anybody know where a person can pick up a tribal fishing permit, before we go over the mountian....

If you are reffering to Billy Chinook you can buy them at the Culver Market in Culver on the way to Cove Palisades boat launch on the Crooked river arm. You can also get licenses and annual parking permits there. You don't need them till March 1st when the Metolius arm opens.
During the week say hi to Debbie in the mornings and Tina on the weekends. The owner Charlie is there in the afternoons.

Thank you guys I'll try GI Joes.. I want to go over ther to LBC on march 1st to try for one of those bulls, but would like to leave at like 2AM in the morning..and just afraid nothing will be open over there by they time I want to be fishing....

I don't know much about bull trout.. but know that macks and browns are a first light fishery.. and was just thinking the bulls were probably the same!

Make sure you call them first. GI Joes sells them but sometimes doesn't get them in until the very end of February.

I just called GI Joes in Lake Oswego and Milwaukie and neither have the Warm Springs Permits as on 12:45 PM on Friday 2/23/07.:shrug: :shrug: :shrug: :shrug:

They told me they sell them but haven't received the 2007 permits yet!!!

I dont know why we have to leave at 2am when it only takes about 2 hours to get there, and it doesnt even get light out until 7am. I hope that the high dollar ($25.00) lure you bought catches every fish in that lake. And if that thing works like they say it does I will by a couple of them, I will even buy you another. But they better not be little smolts, they have to be HOGS.

I don't fish the opening of the Metolius arm any more( just to many boaters) but in the past I would have to wait til the end of the last week of February to buy a tribal permit. Good luck

If I fish opening day it will be because it is a Thursday and I figure I can fish Thursday and Friday before all the people with 9-5 jobs launch their boats and crowd the Lake. :smash: By Saturday when the people with real jobs show up I will be no where near the water.:jester:

I don't usually fish opening weekend because of the crowds.

Culver market opens at 5:30 AM. I bought daily and annual permits there yesterday.
