Has anyone been down 224 towards the breintenbush area? i am woundering how much snow is on the road and if you think the smaller lakes in that area are frozen over....like fish lake, elk lake, red lake.

It's been a long time since I fished those lakes. If I recall, some you can't get to till early June, depending on the snow pack and if the road is on the north side of the mountain. I know this is true for Elk Lake.

well i kno that last year i got stuck goin up there on road 46 almost right at ollalie lake road but it has been so warm and it hasnt snowed for so long i am woundering how much snow is over there........but the storms are coming back in so it doesnt look like im going to even try to get up there
I highly doubt you could get to any of them without snowshoes or snowmobiles. The earliest I've ever seen Olallie accessible by vehicle was a few days before Memorial Day about fifteen years ago.
