Had a great day yesterday at work. Brought my fly rod with me and set about trying to get some cutts at a local creek inlet on Puget Sound on my route. Had a great day, saw some fish, had a few on. Brought two in, which I released. Not bad for a 30 minute lunch.
Well, figured it was a beautiful day today and brought my rod again to work. Drove over the little bridge and could see them actively feeding on some bugs on the water and swimming around with incoming tide. Then it happened. I came back around an hour later to see if I could get a few on and all hell broke loose. Had a dozen or so people there throwing sticks into the slot for their dogs to chase. Could see the fish, but they had moved up into the creek (which is closed to fishing). GRRRRRRR They were all stacked up and waiting for me, and usually are always waiting near the mouth. Oh well. What's worse is I couldn't even do any practice casting, no place that didn't have people in my way. Oh well, maybe tomorrow?
