This will be coming out in this evening's TGF but I wanted to treat the ifish folks (who been good to me) to an advance notice.
The spring chinook fishing below Bonneville Dam is hot now. Backtrolling sardine-wrapped Kwikfish in 10 to 14 feet of water is catching the most productive, but those anchoring up are doing well, too.
You'll be reading about it in the Oregonian in a day or two; consider this advance notice.
Seriously, it's that good!
Cheers,
~MT

Dogfishboy, I must be one of your 3,000 best friends. Planned to do Bonneville before Sailcat's post but now I'm really pumped. See you and the rest of your 2,999 other best friends tomorrow. I'm in the red and white Jetcraft. images/icons/cool.gif

Heard about that "HOT BITE" at Bonneville, well, we spent hours there this afternoon trying backbouncing, wrapped kwickfish, and herring without a bite! We worked the oak tree hole, tanner and another spot with no luck. But you know what? The bankies on Bainbridge Island we slaying them! It looked like most of them were using sand shrimp with spin-and-glows.
Today, it was tough to fish as the current was swifter than normal.
Had fun time anyways images/icons/grin.gif
