OK, Lets find out what killer computer fishing games are out there. Whats your favorites and what sucks. I have Field and Stream 3D Bass Pro produced by Sierra. Great Effects, Great Options, You can fish for over 30 species and you can even have tounaments over the Web.
Lets hear some others.

Sierra makes some killer computer games, but I like the Leisure Suit Larry games images/icons/cool.gif
For N64, there was some kind of bass game. Maybe bassmasters (yeah I think that was it)?
Really really really cool game. Catch trout, walleye, bream, and catfish too. It has casting contests and prizes, plus the Classic tourney at the end. I was a beast on that game.
We rented Reel Fishing II for playstation2 a couple of weeks ago, and found it to be quite lame, but we pretty much like the fighting game better that we picked up so I don't have a really accurate report on it.

Yall,
I have the REEL FISHING 1 for Playstation and it is kind of lame. There is one part where you fish for Bitterling with a cane pole. These fish are like 3 - 4 inches long.
I can't get past the cutthroat trout level to get to the Salmon level. It really is pissin me off.
If ya get a chance check out that Field and Stream game I was talking about. It is pretty cool. If ya get it, go to the lake in either Michigan, Vermont or Minnesota and try a Pike Tounament.
Sierra also produces Trophy Rivers. It is a fly fishing game which is the only way most of us can fish the Deschutes from a boat. I guess they didn't read the regs. images/icons/cool.gif

Pete,
Where did you find that game. I have been looking for a good flyfishing game. Sounds like a blast. Is it trout only or is there steelhead also.

Hey Tanner,
I have that Trophy Rivers game. It's pretty cool. You can catch chinook, coho, steelhead, atlantic salmon, cutthroat, rainbows, browns, and maybe brookies. I like the game but I'm not a "computer game guy" so I don't know how it compares to others. You have a choice of fly gear or you can chuck bait & lures. You also have the choice of 5 rivers.
There's a bunch of other cool stuff but I don't have the game with me right now. Check out the website @ Trophy Rivers (http://www.sierra.com/sierrasports/outdoor/trivers/trivers.html)

Mike,
Thanks for the URL. I think I will be getting that game. It looks better than the Bass one that I have.

Sega Marine Fishing for the Dreamcast =). We keep a notebook around the house just for keeping track of records. We keep track of both biggest and smallest. Last week I pulled in a 233lb Yellowfin Tuna. Broke the old record by 80 lbs =). My hands were drenched with sweat, and my thumbs hurt like heck after that battle images/icons/wink.gif.
Any fisherman that comes over to my house plays this game. And plays... and plays...
