As in all things, this will take time to learn the new format, for me too!
For the next couple of hours, ifish will be running slow, due to server load as it rebuilds the cache.

But now my bookmarks don't record what posts I've already read. The posts that I read used to have a yellow icon, and for the new posts the folder was red. Now they are always red.

Maybe there is an option that I am missing.

The folders for unread are now yellow instead of the old orange color. When you first come back they are all yellow still since Jen reindexed the board. If you close your browser and come back it will show the ones you have read as a white folder. New ones in yellow. images/icons/cool.gif

Testing 1, 2, 3 I dont hear anything.....

I tried a couple hours ago to hit ifish and my link to the Discussion board kept giving me an error and I figured Jens computer died and got tossed in the Kilchis out of frustration. Had to make a new link to the discussion board after coming in from the front page. images/icons/smile.gif Wow that was easy.

I see some have links to homepage and others dont. Looks good just need to figure it out.

edit: WOW! I am a number now, might need to change my name to #31, They almost looked alphabetical but that didnt quite work out with Jen being no. 2

Very nice again Jen.......One day we will meet I am sure. I lived in the Astoria area for 20 years. I have been here in Salem now for about a year. I miss the coast badly...But I'm sure you know how tough it is to make a living there. Still have a house near Seaside and go there often. One day I will get to retire, but at 46 still have plenty of hills to climb. Thanks again for a great service. Don't care for the star ratings as it appears everyone either has 5 stars or no stars, in which case it doesn't mean anything. I suppose if a person was rated by 500 people and had 5 stars it would be something, but since a single vote is all it takes, what's the point? ( guess this will get me some negative stars )

I have been fishing for about 10 years now. And I have been following this website since my husband discovered it.

The new board is nice, but loads much slower. And what's this "rating system" anyway??? When did we return to high school and form our cliques??? What a disappointment.

Widow I agree the board does load a lot slower than previously. I made my rating go away in the profile images/icons/grin.gif. I wonder how it is for the high speed connections. Seems more of a server slowness than the content slowing the board. I even changed my preferences to only load todays messages. But I am sure my connect is still better than RT AOL.. images/icons/tongue.gif (400 muhahahaha) With the new bulletin board it also gives Jen the ability to activate or turn off the different features. Just need a little time to do a full evaluation of the toys.
