Rob, hopefully some of the Kalama, Lewis, and Cowlitz bankies will suggest some good spots. They all have good runs in April and May. Lots of good bank holes too, and you can find them on your own pretty easily. It's tough to beat driftfishing and floatfishing good egg clusters; and sandshrimp work well too. Good luck this season. - RT

HI Walt :O) did you ever find the spey rod you were looking for?

Chinookie yeah, it's me your right though i'd never consider killing another fish endangered or not. Last fish i killed was a hatchery chum i caught from the Naselle about 7 years ago.
Oregon live is kinda a joke though there are only 5 or 6 people that care about anything in there from both sides of the issues combined

Call the Vancouver Columbian and Seattle Times quick. Great story. The President of the Washington Flyfishers Whatevertheshmucks, has admitted publicly to fishing a plug from the end of a flyrod and line!!!!!!!!!! WOW! http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Blastphemy!

Too late RT. Each month our club gives the Windknot of the month award. Another friend of mine, spilled the beans and I had to come out of the closet.

They all know that I pull plugs with a flyrod.

Try it sometime, its a blast when a sh grabs the plug and goes apes....

Rob, If you want to try to catch a springer let me know and we will take the boat out.

I haven't got the spey rod yet.. Still looking. Anyone out there got a reallllly good deal on a 7 8 wt spey rod.

Rob: best way for you to catch a springer in SW Wash. is to buy a flor.red magnium wiggle wart, attach to end of your fly line and walk down the river. You know, the way I did it when we fished together.... http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif
