Still real slow from Coon Island Marina
down to the mouth. Did manage to pick
up a 20lb springer right before high tide
today. (My passenger who caught it is a Chinook tribal leader. He was JAZZED! We
give him major "sheyat" the rest of the day,
in many categories LOL). Whole herring
trolling near the bottom. Rick http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Go away FULL MOON and nets)

Rick, I'm so glad your friend caught one on hook and line and got JAZZED! Cool. Friends of mine know some really nice Indian sportfishermen - not that the Indian gillnetters aren't nice, but I wish they wouldn't do that. I don't know if the Chinook Tribe partakes in the Columbia gillnetting; or is it just the Tribes above Bonneville? It would be really great if this Tribal leader would register on the BB here and give his opinions on such things as gillnetting and fish run restoration factors. And to exchange some beneficial cultural learning. Thanks. - RT
