While steelhead fishing the last two days on the coast, we have caught some real pigs.

Unfortunately they are all late chinooks, but we have landed 5 chinooks the last two days with one bronze buck and 4 seal lice covered chromers. We hooked at least one other and had it break us off.

After last week's chrome chinooks, I thought, "wow, this is really late to have so many chinooks around". Guess this week just proved that there are a lot around even later.

For my last 7 trips we have averaged 2 chinooks hooked a day, and a couple we thought were chinooks turned out to be big steelhead.

Some of the nicest looking chinooks of the year come late but these were awesome chromers in late Jan. This one for ifisher Crayfin

Another shot as this one goes back.

This one turned out to not be a chinook

This is one of the fattest steelhead I have ever seen. Not super long just like a lake trout.

A few chrome limits again

The smallest fish in this pic was 9 pounds. Got to love the broodstock fish.

Another shot minus me shows better the size
