I usually do real good in the St Helens area off the end of Sand Island the end facing down stream right bye the red can this is my favorite place to fish the river I have not caught alot of Keepers here (I have not had my boat for long) I have seen alot caught and caught about at least on average 6 shakers a time EXEPT the last two times that I have went out I have not had a bite or seen anyone catch any which is weird because these two times were the first time since I have had my boat in the Columbia river that me or someone else that is with me has not caught at least one that makes me wonder if they are heading upstream Or maybe down. Sturgeon are my favorite fish to fish for but do come out of my cave to fish Salmon on acasion untill I get frustrated mid season and start re presuing Sturgeon.
Hey Tyler
I think it might be the STUPID GILL NETS causing the bad sturgeon fishing.
