Ok guys and gals, i'm looking at a bual motor on one boat,most of the time i'll be running a 140 hp jet, transome hieght needs to be 26'' now when i go to the long shaft prop i'm pretty sure i need the 21'' transome, how do i make this work????? do i go with the 21'' transome and use a 6'' riser???i also want to run a long shaft prop kicker along side the jet, once again i'm on a 26'' transome,does anyone know what the transome hieght on a xtra long shaft needs to be???? HELP ps no hydralic or electric risers....:smash:

A X-tra long shaft motor is 25" from the top of the transom bracket to the cavitation plate . Transom on your boat should be the same or a little shorter to make it work , otherwise a standard shaft and a letdown bracket is your other option . Some of the other Guys use different setups and they will surely put their :twocents: in ...:smirk:

With the 140 jet you need a 5 inch ext. kit with a stainless prop and it should work fine. Most XL kickers will work with that transom height. Make sure you check availability of the kit before buying and also measure the kicker to make sure it will fit. XL Mercs measure 30 inches.
