Unless we get some rain and snowpack soon, springer fishermen on the Willamette will be using jig-heads for weight.
Spent part of the morning and all afternoon between Meldrum and the falls today, part fishing, part playing with a new motor. Saw 2 fish caught in boats, and heard of two caught on the bank. There was approx 30 or so boats.
The water is low and slow when the tide is going out, but when it's coming in it's like a lake. http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Good old "sammy" don't like to bite too well with no current.
It's still early, lets hope for some good March rain. Otherwise, it looks like trolling in the lower river will be the way to go.
