I have rebuild the carburetor on my ’96 Mercury 25 hp 2-stroke. I must admit, I was not paying close enough attention to the orientation of the float. One side is smooth, and the other side has a rib. The question is – which side goes down towards the spring, the ribbed or smooth. Or as the photos shows, which side goes up? I appreciate any help!
