I fished the lower section on Saturday and hooked three, landing one large hatchery buck; released it. It is amazing that this river is still fishing well, especially down low where I was. Just chalk that up to a low water year so far. Usually this section of the river is 'done' by the middle of December at best. Can you say, 'No Crowds'?

Hey Eastside...your making me jealous! Where do you live out there? I get out on the eastside as much as possible. My folks live near Bend. Tight lines.

Pendleton....

It's a drive to the Deschutes, John Day, and Grande Rhonde, but what the heck? There is some good fishing out this way!

I fish the N. Coast quite often and find that the crowd thing gets a little annoying at times. Out here, with the exception of the Deschutes in August - September, a crowd is more than two people!

Tight Lines!
