Now I know most of you guys are riding big, expensive, fancy new jetboats. But does anyone have some insight into where I can get a 60's era 50 hp Merc. worked on?? I just want someone who knows what they are doing to make sure I haven't screwed anything up. I know it is hard to find someone that will work on the old stuff, so thought I'd ask.

Chinookie,

Call Dwayne at Larsens Marina. Mult Channel just down stream from Fred's and the mouth. Dwayne also works a regular job, but i and many others think that he is one of the best Merc mechanics in the area. He is also honest and fair priced.

Also closer to home would be.....Tom's....Accross the street from the Bomber on McLaughlin. He has been around a long time and just removed some gremlins from my 9.9

Chinookie, Iknow that this guy's a little far from home, but if you want the best, he is it and then some. AAA Mercury Marine in Keizer, he has a small shop and works by himself.

Slutgoddess is right, TOM's Outboard and repair on McLoughlin is real close by. Or you can see Steven's Marine on Addy Lane, just off Jennings, one block east of McLoughlin. Or did you know that South River Marine has now has a shop here in Oak Grove. Where Richardson's Bros. 4X4 shop was just behind the Hollywood Video on McLoughlin. I don't know if they have a maintenance shop here but i'm sure they have to have some sort of a mechanic. They were going to have Tom move his shop in with them but somewhere the deal was dropped. Give one of them a shot. Steven's will take you forever to get an appointment with. I know Tom gets busy this time of year so give him a call

Hey, all you mechanics. Would it be safe
to dump some STP fuel injector cleaner
into my gas tank and not trash my Merc
EFI 150?
