Thank you for all your prayers for Holly, I am posting a new thread because I know that for a long running thread Like " pray for Holly to be healed" sometimes we don't notice important news. My post in that thread tonight includes important news and an opportunity to support the family at a local Pizza parlor. The family has been advised to bring in Hospice as soon as possible. Please read the current information and please continue with prayers for the family as they continue on in this struggle. Please give your family a great big hug and tell them how much you appreciate them before you do anything else. :bearhug: :bearhug:

I chaeked my email first thing this morning.
It was hard to read this email.
God knows what is best and does have a reason for this.
What a witness they have been for our Lord Jesus the Christ.

From Kristina 12/10/06:

Hello everyone.

I am taking a little break from Holly's bedside while Daddy sits with our girl. We are in our final hours with Holly. The doctor came to our home and spent time here watching over Holly. He felt that she would probably not be here for days, but for hours up to a day. Her breathing has slowed, and she has been in a coma since the early morning hours. She was somewhat agitated before she went to sleep, but mostly had been just resting prior to going to "sleep".

We are doing as well as anyone could do going through this situation. We know where Holly is going. Without a doubt, I know that Holly is leaving this life for life beyond our expectations. She will not have pain, nausea, or any physical limitations. Since having my big brother pass on 4 years ago, along with my Dad's passing almost 3 yrs ago my view of life after death has changed tremendously. I know that it is not a thing to fear when you know Jesus. One day I will join my sweet girl, and begin to LIVE. I am so happy for her to be done with all of this suffering.

Obviously, this will be a rough time for us as we adjust to life here on earth without her, but we are SURROUNDED by family and friends, and feel loved and supported. Megan and Caleb are doing pretty well so far with all of the attention of aunts, uncles, and cousins today. Megan actually went ahead and went to her program tonight after finding out, and I hear she did very well. I am looking forward to watching it all on DVD. Caleb has been in Holly's room multiple, multiple times to hug her and tell her he loves her and that she has been an "awesome sister".

I will send information (possibly through a family member) once Holly actually passes, and once we have a memorial service planned. What a wonderful life to celebrate! She is an amazing girl, with more spirit and fight than many of us ever imagine. She makes me desire to live my lilfe with more passion and vision than I have ever desired before. We musn't waste the lfe we have. We should live each day to it's fullest.

I have been so blessed to have you all with us on this terrible and amazing journey. I hope you will take into consideration the truths that these toughest moments have proven...these moments would be so much harder without God in them. He gives us strength that is beyond our own, and His love is never-ending.

Thank you again for your emails, love, and prayers!
Kristina

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for the part of your lives you have invested in this family. They have been through so much over the years and now they will be able to heal, and in time only the good memories will remain. I also want to be clear that I am not a relative of the Bashors, but a neighbor and friend. My daughter played with Holly when they were both younger and Holly was in remission from the first episode of Leukemia. As I pondered Hollys' passing today at work , I remembered a vision I had one Sunday while sitting in church. I saw myself pressing through a large crowd of people , they were all singing and dancing. After a long time I broke through to the front and there standing right in front of me was Jesus, He had a huge smile on His face and was looking directly at me ! He reached out His hand and I took it, we danced and I felt nothing but pure Joy and Love. All the noise from the crowd faded and it was as though it was just Jesus and me !! As I thought about this today , I could imagine Holly , dancing with Jesus, both with huge smiles on their faces, and not a care about this world !

Thank You Jesus, Dave

Our family is deeply saddened by this news of Holly passing. Our hearts are heavy with sorrow, tears, a numb feeling even though as we all lived through this thread, and knew in our hearts this might happen, that doesn't mean it is easy to accept. We know her suffering is over but what a story to live through, I am grateful that, even though not in person, knew Holly and her battle. The strength she illustrated, the perserverance, the determination of the entire family can, and is, an example of how our Lord and Savior can help bring strength during what can be the most difficult time for anyone to experience. We cannot understand death except to know physical life ends and that is why it is so difficult to accept. I don't have words to express how my heart is aching, grieving and seeking God's comfort during this difficult time. I can only imagine what the family is going through and that is all I can do. I pray they pull through this with strength and pray God provides them with comfort and understanding why Holly had to leave at such a young age.

Holly, this is for you:

Psalm 23

The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD
forever.

Blessings to Holly and the family

I'm so sorry to read about Holly.

For all that need help dealing with things like this, read this. (http://www.ifish.net/board/showpost.php?p=1189237&postcount=1)

It's so hard to know what to say. I just kept thinking about the room that was prepared for her in heaven and how much she would enjoy it.

All the things that she loves.

How sad... so close to Christmas.. I'm so terribly sorry.

I never had the pleasure to meet Holly, but I admire her very much. Her strength, and will to fight for her life was incredible. Knowing Bruce and Kristina, and the wonderful parents that they are, I can see where Holly got the wonderful traits she had.

I am grateful that Holly's pain is over, and she can be at peace, and free from the suffering she has endured. When a little time has passed, we will walk over to visit, and take them a wonderful dinner for their family, as we are only 2 blocks away. Our prayers go out to all the Bashor family, they are wonderful people!! :angel1:
