My buddie and I were fishing Saturday over on the Coast near Seaside. He caught a old spawned out silver buck and one of the pertiest searuns I have ever seen. About 18 inches and FAT. As for myself it was just one of those days. My first fish came off after a short fight. A hen about 10 lbs and fairly bright. Later after my friend finished up on a hole I threw in and BAM>>>>>>Hooked up with a monster! It was big, I am guessing about 20 lbs as I could not turn it putting all the pressure I dared with my 10 lb leader. He stayed put on the bottom of the hole like a chinook for about 5 mins then headed upriver and into some damned roots....poof...he was gone and my hook was left nicely implanted on the root!....oh yeah...had the biggest backlash of the season and had to cut off a bunch of line....hooked a branch on the back of my swing...hehe...Still a fun day at the beach.

rh, that was the river by Seaside, Massachussets yesterday right!? Right. Probably were Alantic salmon. ... I fished with Roy (Bait O' Eggs) today on the Trask as it was on a fast rise and color up. I did manage to catch about a 7 lb. bright hen with a jig before the river got too messy though. I think there should be some good nate fishing when the rivers go back on a drop! - RT

Fished the Wilson on Sat. Went down with two boats From Sis. We caught one "bright" 4lb hen. The other boat caught about a 6lb kelt. White meat the other chicken. I would have let it go. It was a nice day in Oregon country and the Wilson was in perfect shape. I would say one per boat was average. No pink worm magic this time oh well.
