So what would you rather.........
Catch one near trophy salmon each time you hit the river, but your skin, hair and breath constantly has a strong permiating smell of anchovie bait butter,
..................OR......................
Catch a limit of near jack sized salmon every time out, but each time you enter a sportinggoods store Buzz Ramsey continuously roles a red carpet out infront of your every step and shouts,"MAKE WAY... MAKE WAY FOR THE TYEE MAN!"
*give me a break..it's February and I'm bored.

HOgtide:
So you are just sitting there twiddling your thumbs? Here is another choice....Kimmels sporting goods in Tillamook is selling their SAKOS for cost. They are still expensive...30-06 and 270 for +/- $630 and a super sweet 300 win.mag for +/- $950. All are Finnish made with the mauser actions. I don't know what they have left but I thought I'd let you know.

Hey, Thanks OLC. Sounds like a good deal on SAKO's. But, I better lay low on my rifle purchases for a while. Just got a new Leupold vari-x III to go with that .300 Weatherby. Kinda testing my 'toy' limits with Mr.s Hog right now. Mr.s Hog.....whoa there would be problems if she heard that was her BB name.

Hog', either of those fantasies would be nice, but this season I would gladly settle for a boot/snake limit to carry into the Guide Shop http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif . I would hang a fish over each shoulder and turn around for a pic ... and sign it "Bigstew" http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif . - RT

Hogtide, I think you have got to the bottom of the night time cold medicine. You will wake up tomorrow thinking the Jim Zumbo came over to look through the new VarX III and tried out the new gun on a 7 X 7 bull down accross the street. Time for you to get well and back to work.

Hey Highwater!
The battery is juiced. All weapons are reloaded with fresh tuff-line.The salty blues are almost prime. Proper anchor is onboard and I'm ready to go. But,......the netters are already drifting from Pixie Park downstream along the wingdams. Kinda kills that idea, huh. Incidental catch and all of those lies should ruin the early season.
