well I thought I put it in stone several times but I know it's been awhile. At the hwy 101 pullout at 6:00 a.m I don't have a chaser yet but don't know who is going in my boat yet. I will have a chaser. I am probably going to take out at the forks. I don't really like the water below and like spending my time above.
Hey, RT can you bring up some of them Ifish stickers? I'd like atleast one. thanks

Hey Line_buster, just wanted a reconfirm on the 6am. I wasn't sure if anything may have changed. I know alot plan a sort of "hunting" trip the night before in the local bars, so wasn't sure how much people would be up to a 6am meet. http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif Ok, that's a set plan then.
Ok, now I need to know about Os. I wasn't sure if he's gonna bring his own boat or if he wanted me to bring it. If raptorwill decides to go, I can set his down as chaser and throw his boat on my trailer and run up to drop. I plan on the longer float. But if everyone is doing lower float then I may shorten it then. Don't want to be a loaner here. LOL. So what float is everyone doing? I see Linebuster is doing the shorter float, how about anyone else? Interested in the long float? Let me know.

I'm staying at 'Flys house Friday night. I will then follow his boat towing to the 6 a.m. meeting (Hwy 101 - Hwy 12 on map - boat take out under/near the bride over the lower Satsop - 4 miles west of the small town of Elma and 6 miles east of town of Montesano) and leave my rig as a chaser. We should really try to be there early or on time and head for the launches so as to tie them up before other boaters who may change to other drifts http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif . ... Speaking of chasers, there will be at least 4 different types involved in this thing http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif . Hey Jerry, Os is going to ride with Jeff in Dan's driftboat and so 'Yall is going to ride and sing in 'Flys boat with us. I wanna learn a little bit about 'Bama culture http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/shocked.gif . Hey 'Yall, e-mail me as soon as ya read this. Got a fun idea to discuss. - RT

I started thinking, some of you may have made arrangements, and we've thrown around times. I figured we should set them things in stone. I assume we're setting the meetpoint for satsop boat launch/takeout at the highway bridge. Ok, now what time are we going to meet?
Second, there are a few bringing chase vehicles, but we should actually set up "partners" in this. If we have 3 chasers and 12+ boats we're really going to either have a set group of guys per launch site or have whoever is chaser doing alot of running around. As of right now I have no set chaser. I will have four in my blazer, all four will be on my boats. If I have to I'll have one of my friends follow as chase. If by chance we have a group of say 4 and we can share a chaser that would be great and that way I can just bring one rig.
Ok, let's pair up. He Os, you gonna need your cat picked up, or are you having someone else bring it?
Jerry

Zaq, Line_Buster (Kris from Oly) is the original organizer. His e-mail is at the top of his post above (click on the envelope icon). He should know the latest counts of boats going. I would think anyone can go, but he should be able to tell you how crowded it's gotten. That way you can make up your own mind if it's comfy or not. - Steve

Hi all,
I'm riding with Dan and will be taking my truck as a turnaround vehicle. I think that we are going to float from the park to the Hwy takeout. I can fit 4 or 5 in my truck. Os is riding with us also, so Jerry you don't have to bring his cat. I'm sure he is riding from Oly with Dan.
See ya all Saturday, Jeff http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Zaq,
well we don't have a set number of people going. but I can tel lyou this. it's goign to be CROWDED!!!we have about 3x more than I thought. I don't have a count of all the boats going. If you can make it then thats cool if not then that is fine also. It sounds like it's going to be a hoot. hope some body gets to do some fishing!!
Line Buster
my E-mail is dcrzfitter@aol.com send me an e-mail if you are going ot bring a boat/cat and how many you will have in it. including yerself. if yer a rider then don't bother me. I want a count of boats mostly.
Yo,
Os and I are hooking up at the Park N Ride on Martin Wy, and are planning to be at the takeout about 6-6:15. It's me, Os and Jeff in my boat, and I figure we'll drop in at Schaeffer and take out at the Hwy.
Kris, you're missing out by not taking out at the Hwy, some of the bigger, nastier nates will be heading for the west fork, so the lower river is your best shot at one. You don't want Os to get the only crack at them, do you? http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif

well, I know the lower river will have some good fish butI just like the upper better. we will see how things go. I think Os is going to need all the river he can get to keap up with my #s. I did make the mistake of giving him some of my favorite secret steelie candy. maybe I should have showed him how to use them and then offered him some. good luck to all who show up. I don't know if this front comeing in is going to put the river out? we might have to cancel this thing if it does go out.

Okay, guys, I know that we are set to go on the Satsop, but if it happens to puke, do we have a back up plan? There are a lot of rivers in the area that will stay in shape if the Satsop doesn't. Just wondering what plan B is. Hopefully things will go as planned but Ma Nature is not always cooperative.
There are also several area lakes we can fish at, I have a doughball recipe that is irresistable to big carp and Parker's coming too! He's a carp catcher extraordinare! http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif

If it pukes, then I suggest hitting HWY 12 and head towards Oakville area, and fish the Chehalis. I got a call yesterday saying the fish have been coming through. Let me know if this sounds like a good backup plan, as I think this may be too many people for the Nooch. Let me know something and I will email ya letting ya know what I know.

If the river starts to look like Heyyall's ex girl friend(ugly)I suggest we join the Zoo at the Nooch, but we'll need to make this decision, before Saturday morn.Buy the looks of things we are still ago.
Hey Buster, don't worry about myself and the 2-wiley veterans I'm with.
we still might have a few tricks up our sleve,as I think we've floated this river once or twice before http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif
see ya on the river ro maybe at the "Ave"....Os

I'll be driving down with DriftBoat in my Ranger. No room inside, but plenty of room in the bed if we need to pile people back to the put-in.
Personally, I say we all go Taimen fishing in Mongolia if the river pukes on Saturday!
If the river does puke, I'm sure we will all figure something out at 6:00 when we all meet.
Really, I'm just going to meet all of you and to have a good time. Catching a fish would be a bonus!

Now Parker that's the attitude that I like to see! Be positive about having a good time and the fish will come. I have floated that river so many times that it seems as if I haven't floated it at all!

Hey guys, better bundle up for saturdays float. I heard we're supposed to have more snow this Saturday. I had borderline blizzard conditions on my route out on the Kitsap Peninsula.
Brrrrrr, make sure those thermos's are set up for hot toddies.....
