Fishing seems to have picked up above the dam since a few weeks back. We hooked 40+,landed 30 or so fish with over half of them 38" or better. We bagged two 43's and two 48's. My wife also landed four 41"ers. One keeper double a few triples and almost a fourple. No wind and flat as glass all day. We cut a nice chunk of indian net from around one of the shakers. At the end of the day we watched one boat get their only fish measured about 10 times by the fish checker. The fish looked short from 20' away. The checker wrote down some info and the guys took the fish and went home. I assume the checker has no power to take the fish and detain fishermen. If the fish was indeed short how would a odf counter handle an illegal fish? Joe

Nice day Joe and Sheryl! Next time you go up with an extra seat available keep me in mind Joe. In fact, if the Columbia springer quota comes thru in our favor you could do some combo trips in April and May if the sturgeon bite in those months. - Steve
