Row for Fish

Hey, first timer! We had a fun day on the river and had to share.
We floated from Siskeyville to Sollie - It was a good day- two natives, put them in the Pond, one hatchery and losted two others. The river was rising, but still very fishable. Sorry, Jennie did not fish- we talked to Big Stew and they had action. Heard of several other fish caught. We caught fish with drift gear and plugs.
One of those days to remember.
Thanks

Welcome to Ifish RfF. There seems to be a lot of natives in early this season in a number of rivers. Helps make up for the lousy hatchery run somewhat. My friend and I did alright too, jig fishing from the bank above the boating runs. We caught 4 nice native steelhead. Mark caught 4 and I chipped in with a donut (zero). Read about it in the "Wilson River Wizard". - RT

Fished the upper Wilson this afternoon. Between South Fork and Jones Creek. Flyfishing. Didn't harm any fish. Very pleasant - even the rain was friendly. Perhaps I was too high up. One fish checked in at Lee's - about 15 lbs. Really started to come down hard on the trip back.
Hey RfF, welcome aboard. Didn't see you on the river Sat, I floated it with my son. We put in at Mills and went to Sollie. There were plenty of fish to go around, I think every boat we talked to had at least one. The pressure was not nearly as heavy as I thought it would be either, made for a pleasant trip. Lots of BIG native fish that I heard of, several run backs too. We boated one, but what was best was it was my son's first trip down the river with me! Your are right RfF, it was one of those days to remember. RW
