I believe I see one common thread, and with that observation, I'd like to share this passage, and offer my feeling(s) or take, of it. Please share with me what you think as well....
"As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after Thee, O God. My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God." (Psalm 42:1-2)
God showers upon us the riches of His never failing bountiful goodness. His mercies are new every morning, every noonday, every evening.
But he has taught us by the experiences of life, that He Himself is the one all-inclusive blessing sufficient for our very need. He gave Himself once to men in the gift of His Son and through Him and His Holy Spirit He is ever renewing the gift of Himself to all who will receive Him.
This is the blessing for which we thirst...the blessing far exceeding every other gift!
If we can but lay hold to this gift, then there will be no restlessness, no darkness, no weakness, no sorrow, no deadness...for who hath God, wanteth nothing.
Give us Thou Gracious Farther both the will and the power to receive Thyself, and abide with us in, and through all of time and eternity!
