My sister and I have been seeking proper care for mom, as you know and have prayed. I want to let you know that we have seen a turn for the better and a good facility has been found.
My mom had a crack in her femur from her fall and a pin was inserted to strengthen her bone. No complications occured. She was out of her wheelchair in a few days, scaring her doctors a bit. They wanted to keep her under surveillance and in her chair for a few more days, so we did. She just wanted to get out and walk around the halls, which i consider very good for her attitude and health. Her lungs cleared up and no pneumonia occured from aspiring some food earlier.(There are so many things that can go wrong, you know). Her attitude is her greatest asset, smiling and refusing to be bed-ridden. She is recovering quite well, so I am very encouraged. A great burden has left thanks to your prayers.
We have gotten her tests and she is going to a partial assistance living facility close to our home in Sandy (thanks for the offers of info). I couldn't live if she was too far away--we had to have a close home for her so we can visit on the spur of the moment.
Thank you, thank you for your prayers. God has allowed her to stay with us a bit longer. We cherish the few days we may have left and don't take them for granted. You all have been a blessing to my family and i just wanted to let you know. Doug
