There was once a Sovereign Nation with Binding Treaties and Trade with The United States, Britain, Russia, China, France,and many South Pacific Nations. In 1893, American businessmen, with the use of U.S Marines, illegally overthrew this government. Its Native population was pushed to third class status. Shortly, this nation was annexed to the U.S by an act of Congress. This act was illegal even back then by U.S. Law. When the vote came many years later on Statehood, the native population had become a minority in their own land and the ballot never asked the question of going back to the way it was. Since that time, the Native has struggled. He had replaced the American Indian in the census for the highest rates of unemployment, school dropout, alcholism, teen pregnancy, so on and so on. From then to now, he still lives as a Ward of the government with very little if any assistance. He has not even been recognized as an Indidginous(sp) people. We work now for that recognition. We work now to get back that which was taken illegally under U.S Law. And we do not catch any of your fish. One time I got beat up by 6 guys at one time. I was able to break the nose on of those guys. Maybe I was in the wrong place at the right time or vice versa. Maybe I shouldn't have been there, maybe they should have provoked it. Like a famous person says if ya smell what I'm cookin' here.."IT DOESN'T MATTER........" I would feel terrible if my great-great-grandkids 107 years from now want compensation for my beating or if they wanted to beat up those assailants grandkids. People have this hard time about letting go and just moving on. Look, life sucks. I'm sorry, but I had to let that cat out of the bag. What is done is done people so get over it. Life is like a poker game, you play with the cards you are dealt. Sometimes you lose. Sometimes you win. Sometimes you get that wild card. O's is like me and bazillion other "AMERICANS" who are fed up with people wanting compensation for this or for the U.S. to apologize and recognize wrong-doings that were done by our f*cking ancestors. I'm tired of that. America can't be America if people all want to b!tch and complain about how we brought them over here, how we took blah blah from them, etc. I feel for those people who had it bad..THEN. Nowadays I just feel bad for the people who complain and b!tch about wanting retribution or compensation, when all it does is drain America, but yet these people also love the amenities America offers, but yet want to have their old cake and eat it too. I hate it when people try to punish us for things that happened in the past, beit 40 years or 400 years. Just get over it. Better yourself, then you can better your people.

What about the things your sovereign nation is taking away now; like upriver columbia native steelhead/salmon with your netting because it's your religious right. Can you tell where in your religious beliefs it's ok to sell these fish on the open market. When my great grandkids are old enough to fish and there aren't any left in the columbia river system can they look to you for compensation or retrabution. I believe we should all play on the same team under the same rules for the betterment of mankind.

18 miles tells me all I need to know about you. I didnt expend the effort to look up the spelling of andalusia, I spelled it like they pronounced it (analusa), I guess the D is silent when the Drawl gets in the way.

This story dont need embelishing because it is just to good the way it is. I fly from Seattle to Okalahoma City to help these county boys seal an electrical vault with chemical grouts. I pull up on the jobsite in a rental car and see 3 good ol boys in bib overalls, no shirt, no shoes, no socks, no hard hats are sitting on the tail gate of a pickup. The must have been waiting for the ice tea to brew, because they are watching the sun shine on the gallon jar with water and tea bags. I took a picture of these boys in all there splendor before I introduce myself. The guy with the most teeth was in charge, I assume because he had about 6 of them. They at least had the traffic control set up to keep a car from driving into the manhole lid they had removed. The company safety officer thought I staged the photo and said nobody could look like this on a construction jobsite. After we get the leaks in the vault sealed, I give the boys there weekly paychecks. I brought them from the corporate office to save mailing them. They immediately load up the equipment and off they go to the strip bar. They cash there checks with the bouncer and ask for dollar bills. In about 2 hours, a weeks pay belonged to a couple girls in the club. They were complaining the next morning they were hungry and wanted to know if I would buy them breakfast so they wouldnt have to hunt up an oppossum http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif I think they were serious.

I met these boys on several more jobsites. They were all related. Told me everybody from andalusia was related in one way or another. I spent a long week in San Juan Puetro Rico with them. It was very hot and they would get in the electrical vaults and take off there bibbed pants and be in only there underwear. I wasnt much comfortable crawling down a manhole with a couple guys in jockey shorts to lend some technical advise. Just to scary for me what they were doing down there.
