Please pray for my beautiful niece, Kristin, as she undergoes brain surgery tomorrow in Seattle. At 23, she has already endured more medical procedures than anyone should ever have to. And always with a smile on her face, love for those around her, and faith that God will "help her beat this thing". She is my hero!

Thanks guys. I just passed your prayers on to her and she was comforted. Her surgery is scheduled for 7:00am tomorrow, and should last 4+ hours. If you get a chance during that time could you slip an extra prayer, or two, in for her?

Background on Kristin's surgery:
Kristin is again going to undergo two surgeries to monitor then remove portions of her brain that are causing her to have seizures. She went through this same procedure in Feb. 2005, but she is still plagued with seizures on a daily basis.
Kristin wants to get better so that she can get back to hanging out with friends, rather than just Mom and Dad.
Surgery update:

14-Nov-06 11:16 AM - Dad : I checked on Kristin's status, and the report that came back from the Operating Room is everything is going fine, and she will still be in surgery for awhile yet.
Thanks again for your prayers!

Thank you all for your prayers. Kristin has made it through the toughest part, praise God!. The rest is in His hands. An update from my my brother -in-law.....
14-Nov-06 03:02 PM - Dad : The surgery is complete! Dr. Ojemann came out and gave us the update. Everything went according to plan (a big sigh of relief from the crowd). He was able to stay away from the portions of the brain that control the motor functions, so we will have to wait to see if there is any temporary left-side loss. She is still sleeping now, so he thought it would be 2 hours before we would see her. She will be in the Intensive Care Unit for at least tonight and maybe two. We will send additional updates as we can.
Thank you again Ifishers. Your prayers mean a lot.

If I may impose? Please continue to keep Kristin in your daily prayers for awhile. She came through surgery, but recovery has been rough, and is ongoing. Still in the hospital, and it looks like she will be there for some time yet. Please pray for strength for her parents as well. This has been an exhausting ordeal for them.

Thank you for your prayers! As I type, Kristin has been released from the hospital and they are on their way home. Yesterday was the turning point in her recovery, and I truly believe that prayer made the difference. As we farmers like to say, she still has a long row to hoe. But she is headed down the road of recovery. Thank you so much for your prayers and support during this time - it means a lot! I am praying that all of you have a wonderful, and blessed, Thanksgiving day.
