Project Stonefly ..(Lets see yours)

This is my most recent and realistic Stonefly that I have made yet..I plan on making some more of these this Winter when the rivers are blown out.. I will make them in various color patterns. They do take some time to make but to me they are worth it..

I have yet to fish one yet but im pretty sure I could fool a trout or two with one..

Any one else have some cool fly patterns to share with us..Id like to see them...

I fish Stoneflies year round..They seem to be productive for me...

Yep, I find that stone nymphs are great year round.

Does anyone fish different sizes? Because goldens tend to hatch out in may june, the nymphs are biggest then. I've never really matched the size in the river, I've just put them on for the weight I need. Always seems to work, although, its never a stunning producer, just steady. So any thoughts on varying size of these guys through the year?

By the way Andrew, that fly is deadly looking. A bit too pretty to fish, but I know the fish would gobble it up.
