With the cloudy drizzlely weekend, I figured it would be a good time to dust off my fly rod and see what kind of BWO hatch was happening on Fall River. I fished both Saturday and Sunday starting at 12:30 which was just before the fish started rising for the BWOs. The hatch was strong, but only last 30 minutes tops. A BWO parachute with an emerger dropper was very productive while the fish were looking up. Most of the fish were taken on the emerger. After the fish stopped rising I picked up a few more with a Copper John before calling it quits.
