Lets not forget praying for our troops, I am sure many of them are talking to our Lord more than ever before, especially when one of their own dies in combat.

Perhaps I blotched the joke :smash:
When I think of how these soldiers have turned into a "political" football, it brings the devil out of me!
What our troops do, and the sacrifices they pay....transcends any political party or person!
My prayers are with these brave souls, as well as my gratitude.

It's unbelievable, but there's a political debate going on right now as to whether or not military chaplains (of many religions) will continue to be allowed to offer prayers in public settings according to their particular beliefs. for example, a christian chaplain offering prayer and citing God and Jesus Christ while in a public place could be reprimanded. This is a real debate. It's unimaginable to me that this could even occur. Chaplains, in similar settings of the picture above, have actually been reprimanded by superior officers in Iraq and Afghanistan for offering prayers using God's name. Somehow it got into military regulations. It relegates our military chaplains to roles similar to private counselors instead of moral and spiritual leaders. Do a Google search on the topic, sign an electronic petition (i.e. ACLJ.org), contact your congress-person, and let them know it's just plain wrong. Whether you are Christian, Muslim, whatever, this should concern you. http://www.aclj.org/news/Read.aspx?ID=2412:smash:
