Was out yesterday. When it rains-Go fish! Caught this bright girl on the swing. I'm thinking it is an early winter your thoughts?

Then later on I swung the next run down around 11:00 AM. I was swinging through the run and my line just kind of stopped. It's the take that has me fascinated and perplexed right now. Not a pull, Not a tug, the line just stops, and feels like it is on a rock or something. Anyway, I've had alot of fish take similar to this this year. I felt it, and set the hook... All hell broke loose, boiling rolling splashing,====more rolling splashing and then his run. Into my backing real quick. well long story short- it was fun! All on the TFO 6wt. We have really bonded this year!!

Nope Both Summers..

If you caught them on the Kalama they get a bright run of Fall steelhead..

Still Skamania stock!

I agree that they are summer fish. Nothing wrong with that! I'll take them on the end of my fly rod.

All I know is they are very nice fish, summer or winter.

You are right: When it rains in the fall, go fishing! I have been trying to figure out how to get away during the week, but it looks like it will be with the crowds this weekend.

Congrats on a couple of beauties!

Nice fish, I'm definitely envious. Also agree with the others the hen is a late summer. I got an early winter in Nov once on a coast stream w/ no summer run and it was football fat by comparison.
