Fly caught rainbow

I took my sisters kid fishing for a week here in the Cariboo of BC Canada. Connors Dad has cancer and the kid desperatly needed some fun..sleeping in a tent under the stars ( my wife and my mom stayed in our 30' travel trailer ) marshmellows hot dogs all the major food groups..hide and seek till 2am...and FISHING here is Connor witha LARGE RAINBOW TROUT he caught on a leech pattern I tied up..he played it all by himself andf I couldnt have been prouder of the guy.

My wife is from up in the Cariboo from Quesnel.. I fish up there a couple times each summer and I cannot believe how rediculously big the fish are.. I have no idea how to go from an egg to 5 lbs.. I have never caught a fish up in Dragon lake that wasnt 5lbs or bigger and I fish a size 12 micro leech so you would think that a smaller fish would hit it..

Dragon lake is AWESOME some huge fish there ..next time travel 1/2 way down to Wiliams Lake from Quesnel..at LYNES creek rd go 10 km in turn R and then R ......FOREST lake flyfishing only and 10 hp motor restriction and 20 pound PLUS rainbows ON FLY in a small lake one a day over 50 cm my biggest there is 14 pounds...seen several 5 or 6 fish weighed over 20 pounds....slabs....hawgs....:bowdown:

Sweet.. i will have to try that next summer. We visit the in laws a few times every year up there and I get along best with them when I am gone fishing all day :)
