Beavertail to Heritage Friday though Sunday. 3 for 5 dry line. 4 other boats on the river. Worst wind I have seen on the Deschutes ever on Sunday prohibited fishing...period. Landed 3 natives all very bright.

The Bighorns are super active and we saw some huge rams last night. Great trip except for the wind.

How'd everyone do upriver?

Thanks for the report Slow & Low. I was also out there between Shears & Macks and experienced the same wind this morning (Sunday). It pretty much made swinging impossible as my rod tip was getting blown all over the place. I did land a nate buck while swinging on Saturday night....but that was it for me. The ODFW checker at Buckhollow said all reports are very slow. I'd say you did very well going 3 for 5! Its encouraging to hear that good numbers are still coming in the lower river.

Wind sure makes that last 10-12 miles pretty brutal eh? There've been times I had to walk the boat down through the flat stuff above Kloan. Gordon Ridge is the biggest PITA in wind, just miserable.....

Have to agree. Colorado is not fun with and east to west either. The run below green light was probably the worst. Took forever. Fun stuff.
