My son and I are heading to Seattle for a couple of Hockey games and a Seahawk game in a couple of weeks. Our early mornings are open so we were thinking about taking the fly rods with us. Where would you suggest to catch chum and or SRC. Any help would be appreciated.:help:

Skykomish. Call All about the fly in Monroe.

I think you can get the SRC in the south sound. Visit Washingtonflyshing.com.

Chico Creek, or Kennedy creek.

Not sure about any SRC's but with a fly rod, you can land about 30 or so in a day on either of these creeks if the fish are in.

These creeks are both about 1.25 hrs away from Seattle toward the South East.

These are the only ones i know of. THe cedar river might be something to check out, as i've heard theres huge trout in there, but i've never had any luck to speak of.

Chico and Kennedy creeks can be a mob scene, but that's where the chums are. The Skykomish above Monroe can be good, as can the Stillaguamish for chums. SRC in the salt is usually pretty poor in November (actually it's a really overrated fishery at the best of times). I think Cedar creek is closed at this time of year. I would go to the Sky if the flows are less than 5000

There's Sea Run Cutthroats and some Chums in the Snoqualmie River right now. Talked to one regular fisherman I see on the river quite often and he's done really good on the summer runs this year;silvers around the Carnation area too.
