Hope you guys and gals can help me out.

I will be on a field trip with my daughter's class this Thursday to Eagle Creek in the Gorge and will be taking my 8 wt, for some possible Coho/Steelehead action on the way home.

Is there any good wading access at the mouth of the Sandy near Troutdale?

Hoping the get in a couple of hours before heading home.

Thanks,

Mike

If you park at Lewis and Clark park (right where I-84 crosses the sandy) there is lots of access. You can walk most the way down to the mouth, although there is a spot where the sheet pile is falling into the river that is tough to get through on foot.

You used to be able to park at Reynolds aluminum and walk over the dike to the actual mouth, but they've stopped allowing that since the plant shut down.
