Well LiveToFish was the poor soul who decided to fish with me. Poor LiveToFish had to put up with continuing boat problems. This time the steering gear box went out and the motor was stuck in a left hand turn.:sick: This made getting back up river to the boat launch a whole lot of fun. Thank you LiveToFish for putting up with the problem. The boat will be in dry dock for the rest of the year.:help:

On to the fishing. To say the fishing was spotty is an understatement. At times we would go for over an hour without a fish and then pick up two fish on back to back cast. By the end of the day we had 13 fish. All were smallmouth bass. Two fish were around a pound, two were around a pound and a half, and the rest were all over 2lbs. The three biggest were 2lbs 11oz, 2lb 13oz, and 3lb 4oz. Yes I did finally break the 3lb mark for the year.(it’s about time) So all in all not a lot of fish but I will take an average size of over 2lbs any day.

By the way if you ever get a chance to fish with LiveToFish I recommend you do it. He is a really nice guy and he knows how to fish.

Great Job and nice fish.

Sorry to hear about the boat. I have openings too bad we dont have the same days off.

I had a ton of fun out on the river with 1bigfish on Saturday. Sure, not everything worked out perfect and the fishing may have been spotty but thats how things go sometimes. The steering on the boat actually made for a little more excitement. Not only did I dropshot for the first time but I actually picked up a fish doing it. Thanks for showing me how its done!! I'll have to admit, 1bigfish had the hot rod for the day. I have never seen such a nice average. If I ever get the chance to go out again I'll be sure to jump on it. He's a fun guy and really knows his stuff! Thanks 1bigfish!! ANDY

The only reason Andy and I did as well as we did was because Clayton took me out and passed along what he knew. I have now passed it along to Andy and Dragon67. It is now up to them to keep passing it along.


Andy you are welcome on my boat anytime. Well, anytime after I get it fixed that is.:jester: But until then just keep trying to get out there with other ifishers and learn as much as you can. Then next time you can teach me everything you know.
