silver lake trip!

silver lake report... me and tangledline69 fished silver for three days with a total of 7 fish cought between us to all wekend all about a pound and a half except for jons 4.8 biggest fish that was reported to silver lake motel for the weekend.. (thats what we were told it might have changed sunday?) so the fishing was really pretty slow, we might make one more trip up there this year in hopes of getting one more big girl! only pattern we could find was jigs or senkos in about 4 feet of water. all fish we caught came off of waldon island on the t-dock.. no other hits anywhere else on the lake.. pretty weird actually.. there was a big tourny going on and everyone of our spots had somebody on it before us.. we were hoping nobody would be out because it was so foggy.. boy were we wrong..! so it was a good rip just slow fishing.. i will put the pic up of pounder soon. we got a pic on there official scale as well! thanks again silver lake crew for making us feel welcome.. you guys are doing a great job with the place! everytime i visit it gets a little nicer!

Sorry there were so many boats out there. Well I think one nice fish makes it all worth it even if you were not the one that caught it. I know I always enjoy watching the person I am fishing with me pulling in a big one. Thanks for the report.

hey tnj and tangledline, im going to make a trip to silver lake on november 18-19 for the new/full moon. you guys should think about joining me i could really use the company, he he... since you guys said you may take another trip, why not do the thing togeather???!!! im pretty sure i could find a few tricks to get those fish to bite!!! heck maybe even have a friendly tourney!!! also, im putting a seat on my deck and some carpet!! cant wait to get out there im just itching!! its going to be the last trip for me of the year till april rolls around!!

when the fishing gets really slow i like to switch to a carolina rigged clear or white grub. right now they are hitting mostly on soft plastics and jigs. worked VERY slow.. i dont know if i will be able to make it to silver then we might go a little sooner. my birthday is on the 16 so i will be busy around that time... we might be able to make.. carpet huh? nice the only thing i dont like about carpet is kneeling down when it rains.. the seats are definatley nice to have. i dont know about a tourny i guess we could try it.. hopefully they wont be having another tourny when i go.. there was a lot of fishing pressure last weekend

ya tnj, i totally no what your saying... hey Superfluke, i fish this lake often and my lure of choice would be a 5" dark colored senk-o or a white senk-o texas rig. also, a pumpkin orange light brown jig w/ craw trailer!!! those would be my #1 choices!!! hey tnj, you think you could make it up to silver when im up there?? love to have you up there!!!
