Had the oportuity to fish with Trolling4Trout yesterday, so far I am batting 1000 on fishing with Ifishers. It was a typical fall day at the lake we met at the boat ramp at Baker Bay at 7:30 and we were fishing by 7:45 sure is nice to have someone along that knows their way around a boat, helping with the prelaunch and launch, their was a little fog in the early morning and a breeze in the afternoon. Some sprinkles along with a very nice cloud cover. The water temp. was 61 degrees in the main body and dropped to 54 degrees in the back where the river comes in, the water had just a hint of color to it - not bad but you could tell winter was on its way....just a couple of other boats and a few bank anglers. Jim started the morning off with a nice native Trout within 10 min. of trolling :smash:and contunued to pour it on until he had boated four very nice Trout, one rather nice Cutthroat. I was starting to feel like a rookie, I had a few strikes but no takers. This guy was absolutly schooling me, I must have gone through two dozen lures before I finely got one to the boat.......whew!!! No the presure was off and I could finely have another cup of tea and relax.. We were long lining behind the boat between 50 and 150 feet, our speed varied between 1.8 and 2.8 mph - Jim likes a fast troll and I prefer a bit slower, some of the takes were very suttle, all most like you picked up a leaf or grass on your lure. As you reeled in to check the lure, then and only then did you realize you had a fish. Not all were like that some slammed the thing like it was a matter of life or death. Tail walkers, divers and even a couple surfers. All in all a wonderful day we both managed to limit out and return all the fish to fight another day, not one floater.... Had the opertunity to tell each other some great stories and start a few new ones. Some jokes and some real funny punch lines. I took some great pictures and would love to share - but for some reason I still can't seem to post them..........It must be the new program, it couldn't be me:redface:, once I figure it out I will edit the post and share them.....Again thanks Jim for the lesson on trolling and don't forget you owe me a day in your SmokerCraft. Maybe Fall Creek ? Sure would like to learn that place.
