This boat is a fish killing machine. Whoever gets it will be very happy. Doug really takes care of his boat. Heck, he spent nearly 2 hours cleaning it after our tuna trip this summer:laugh:

Any idea what the boat and trailer weigh? Or, put differently, what do you tow it with?

The boat and trailer weigh about 7200 pounds. There is currently 840 lbs tongue weight, and I tow it with a 3/4 ton pickup. The trailer has new leaf springs (changed for the first time this year) and other suspension parts. I towed this boat with my 95 Chev half ton, but I upgraded my truck after buying the boat since I needed a new one anyway.

Thanks for the info. That ups the price for me as I'd need a new tow rig, too. Dangit.

Bumpatola. The kicker is available with the boat for an additional $1K (which is actually less than I'd sell the motor alone.) It is a 2004 4 Stroke Yamaha Long Shaft 9.9 High Thrust Electric Start.)

Had the oppurtunity of witnessing a drive by from a +100# Tuna on this boat. "Those aren't porpoises, they are huge Tuna!" This boat has Big Tuna Mojo.

Well, she's covered with snow right now, and the de-humidifier is again chugging away.

Whats the top speed? How much gas does she burn 25 miles and back / with a little fishing etc. Thanks John.

John,

Top speed is about 30 knots, depending on how loaded down we are. 25 knots is the top end when there is a cockpit full of ice and Tuna. That is also realistic with 600 pounds of gas, and another 300 of ice, and 3 guys.

As for gas, here are the numbers. Halibut fishing (which entails a hard run to the rockpile or ranch and back, and a lot of idling in-between) usually results in about 4.5 gallons per hour average all told. using the kicker to backtroll and turning the motor off at the rockpile makes Halibut fishing about a 32 gallon adventure.

Tuna fishing (a hard run WAY out and 7 knots almost all day) produces about 5-7 gallons per hour, depending on conditions. I usually burn about 65-75 gallons Tuna fishing, if the fish aren't close.

Salmon fishing is cheap. I used about 3.5 gallons per hour with the hard run out, and trolling on kicker power.

I hope this answers your question.

Well... I think it'll be off to Brinsfield's since I'm driving up to PDX anyway! Go see her there!

Another "whatever happened to this boat" question? Sure missed some good deals a year or two ago. Curious if this one is still for sale or not?
