First: I read all the jig tips with great interest being a dyed in the wool bait fisherman. However since I sneak out of the office for lunch to try the north fork I decided to use jigs only so I won't go back to the office smelling like eggs/shrimp. Today I caught my first steelie on a jig. And like it was said, this fish nailed it. Black and Pink with mylar. Got the fish cleaned and still made it back to work on time.
Second: Special thanks to HOGTIDE for the info on the Weatherby sale. I tried my damndest to snare one but I was to late. But the possibility was as invigorating as looking at a hole full of fish that wouldn't bite.
Third: thanks to Hammer BoB and Pilar for the suggestions on the boat steering....I have got it freed up and am still looking for "Cable Life".
