This has to be the most satisfing day fishing I've ever had,a young fellow named Blake got to catch his first ever Steelhead what makes it special is, He has celbrel palsey(spelling)I hooked it and his father guided Him it was about 6 lbs.I say that's the way to start a New Year.

That is great news about Blake. As we were drifting away from the ramp, we saw you guys land that fish. We were sort of thinking you may have told us fish story about how many you have been catching. Especially when we saw the fish hit the bank right after we pulled away. http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I managed to catch one hatchery fish about 2 miles below your spot on the bank. I love starting the year off with a fish.

Well, RyanFish, I am glad I slept in this morning and didn't crowd you so Blake could catch that fish. I didn't hit the river until 11:OO a.m. The wind blew me into Oxbow Park - I fished the point at the big bend in the river along the road. You might of seen me on the way out. I made my way to the ramp around two o'clock. Oh, my goodness http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/shocked.gif (cataraft central). I fished the head of that drift hard (why not). About a half dozen more whitewater rafts, catarafts, came in. Everyone rowed behind me (all it took was the first one to get it right). I left at dusk. Didn't touch a fish. Good going Bait'O Eggs and Blake - not many caught fish today from what I heard.
