I launched this morning about 7:30,and Jetted~~~ down to the Columbia and anchored down from the main hogline off Hayden isle. in my dk. green, tan top, Weldcraft 18.5' above the jerk in the blue tri hull that would not move for the container ship leaving this morning. I was looking for I-fish stickers and really wanted to meet some of you. Hopefully hooking up and possibly sharing trips, (my co-piolot is expecting a baby and does not get out as much) so I am looking for new friends to rip lips with.

After only a few shakers I move up to Mike Lombards honey hole, and ony caught babys no honeys. It would have been a good day to waterfowl hunt the sky was full of birds.

Lip rippers let me know if you saw me and I just missed you. Maybe next time

Hey Jet! Took the day off. I must be getting old, I can only do BCD trips two days in a row without feeling it. We will be on it tomorrow again. Barn and Pilar. Sorry you missed it.

I have one seat left for tomorrow if you want it. E - mail and it's yours. I plan to bag #1 gator tomorrow for 2001. It's kind of a tradition or streak if you will. This fishery is all about location. If you are not getting bit, move.

The bend is your friend!

Location ,Location,Location that is it. My anchor rope is fraying from being pulled so often. Two days in a row for me and a day off is a good thing, that way you hands start to smell human and then back to the sweet small of the Eau De' Toilet De' Smeltpeelerearthwormrollmop. I just love the sweet smell of it,WEEEEW! bottle it and sell it at Nordstrom... well maybe not there.

Hope to see you all soon,RIPIN LIPS!!

Jet- had about the same luck. Started to go launch at Fred's this morning and then decided to go to St.Helens. Parking lot looked like springer season. Fished below mouth of Lewis and even after marking several sturgeon, just couldn't get them to cooperate.

You reminded me to get my iFish decal ordered though. Always wondering if I'm around some of you and don't know it. Dark blue/tan Crestliner with tan top if it's up. Yeah...right, nobody remembers those things when you're out there. Next time, will give Fred's a try since I haven't launched there in years and it's closest for me coming from Newberg. Critters are there, I've been reading Pilar's posts. He's good...!

Hey Trout (sturgeon) myster

Have you tried the Scapoose boat ramp probably one of the better on the columbia (well sort of on the Columbia), and only two bucks to park. Freds is jsut too tight when there are a few ready to launch or take out. It is much closer to the Lewis.

One spot I stopped at I could not believe how many Squaw fish were in that hole, they kept chewing up my tasty offerings, time to move!

Jet, Piller, Fellow Ifisher's,

My boat was recently taken out of action by a teenage girl driving her fathers car. Dropped my axel and flattened the tire on daddy's car and my trailer then she drove away on the flat http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/shocked.gif! Won't be out of the shop till well after the insurance company gets done hosing me like a barnacle barge http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif.

If you have room for some balast I'll return the favor in kind when I get my ol' tub back in action http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/cool.gif.

Email me, I'm hard core and dying to rip some lips http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif.

Not many places to rent boats around here and it would be like going from a Cadilac to a Yugo anyway http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif. Man I'm bummed http://www.ifish.net/forum/images/graemlins/mad.gif. Hope to be back in action for the springers.

Later,

Mr. F.

Jet- thanks. Scapoose bay is where I usually launch, you're right about the ramps. Nice and lots of room to park. That's where we went out of and fished off the tip of the first row of pilings below the mouth of the Lewis. Fish were stacked in behind the pilings, but when I tried to anchor, we did as I thought we would and played "merry go round" in the boil. May be able to tie off on the pilings, but didn't have a long enough rope to suit me with the barges and ships going by.

Mr. Fisherman, if you don't net a ride and I go next weekend, you're welcome aboard. Not a huge boat, 18 foot Crestliner that's kind of "bassey and walleye" cristened, but I'll keep an ear open. I go right through Hillsboro on my way to St.Helens. My 1/2 century birthday is next weekend so may not be in any condition to go...we'll see.
