Has anyone heard of them here? How are they for quality? I'm new to Fly Tying, just trying to gather info.

Thanks

Don't know. I usually use Daiichi, Tiemco, or Gamakatsu fly hooks. All chemically sharpened, and strong enough for the dinks I usually catch.

I have heard of guys using them for tube flies up on the Clearwater.

I am now using owner straight eye hooks for my tubes. You get a straight pull and sharp as hell hook.

I can't seem to find a web site for Kamasan Hooks. Below is a quote pulled from one of the retail sites I've visited. Every site I've been to seems to have good things to say about them. One web site claims that Kamasan hooks have been the Mainstay in the English and European market for nearly 230 years.

Here is the quote I found:

"Kamasan hooks are Europe's most popular hook. If you are accustomed to tying with Daiichi, TMC or Partridge hooks, you will love these hooks. Each hook is made of the finest high carbon steel. and chemically etched to create a sharp needle point. Kamasan hooks are then given a double bronzed finish. This finish helps to prevent the hook from rusting, if packed into a fly box when wet. Another really neat feature are the boxes. Kamasan hooks are packed in thin (1/4") box, that is much nicer than those awful fat plastic bubble boxes".
