View Full Version : Please pray for us (Update)
I found out yesterday my unemployment benefit have been used up. This comes as a shock as I have been checking on my account and was told benefits would extend until the 27th of this month so I have been planning around that date. I was shocked about what I found out. This presents some extreme challenges at the end of the month (like paying rent)and other bills, don't know what I'm going to do right now. I haven't told my wife yet because I know this will cause her to really stress out.
I also have two daughers so please lift us up in your prayers that God will provide for us.
Thank you in advance.
Blessings, Keith <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" />

Stand on His word, "I will never leave you or forsake you" As hard as it is in hard times we have to believe in Him. I will pray for you and your family.
Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers. There is much to be said about each of you and for the Anglers chapel. I can't describe to you all how meaningful it is to know that our bond in Christ produces so much love, especially during a very difficult time like this.
I still don't have the strength or courage to tell my wife, she is a worrier and we have struggled the past year financially but our faith in Christ allows us to experience joy each day. I just don't know how to let her know this and I know I need to but the fear I'm imagining is almost to much to bear. Please pray for strength and courage for both of us, especially when I break this to her.
Thank you again and I mean that from the bottom of my heart.
Blessings, Keith

Remember the joy she gets each day is from the same God that can help you and her overcome and deal with the situation. He will give her strength. I think she would want to know. And want to know you care for her and fear telling her. It will be a burden off you and your wife(i understand they are quite preceptive!)
Still Praying!
Jim
Thank you all again, it's very comforting to know that real followers of Christ acknowledge and expose their hearts whenever there is a struggle to a brother or sister.
Our world today is filled with carnality but our faith in Christ helps us through each and every day and I look forward when there is a world without bias and agenda's. I believe this is what God wanted.

Prayers are sent.
Which verse is the one that says:
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God! And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Phillipians 4v6-7!!!
I wrote a song with that one, and sang it in front of our church, while I was going through divorce. It's really a nice song.
Anyway, that one got me through hard times. I hope that it helps you, also.
Jen
Keith,
The verse that Jen is refering to is
Phil 4:6
6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
NIV
I would like to see anyone else in your spot not worry, I know that I would ,and yes I would think of this verse, Should I not at least be concernd,.. I wonder how the giants in the faith (living now) would handle the same spot that you are in, no dout that some would say NO I AM NOT WORRIED, but if you gave them a lie detecter test they might not pass when asked if they would never worry about where the money was going to come from for the rent and food and all the rest of the bills for the next month or longer if they were faced with what you are faced with..
I am one to worry , worry , worry, till I am at the very end of the stick, then I just break down and cry to God for help, does that mean that I still don't worry, no, I still worry but not in the same way that I was, SEEMS LIKE A PEACE comes over me and carries me along with added strength. Keith my prayers are with you. Should you tell your wife, I can't answer that for you.
My heart realy goes out to you and your family.
A brother in Christ, DAB
Thought I would update everyone regarding our situation.
The strangest thing happened (not really) but a church donated a bus, yes a big white school bus to us free and clear.
I called to find out if we could use the bus for a kids fishing trip I help with at our church. It's an event me and a few guys started and named the event "fill the bus". I'm friends with a pastor that had this old but nice white bus that we filled last year with kids and parents and took them fishing for a day. It was an awesome turnout and now this will become a yearly event at our church. Well I call the pastor to check to see if we could use it this year and he tells me they are going to give the bus away  Well now that bus resides in front of my house. We are going to sell this bus and if we can get $3K for it this will get us through this extremely tough time so please pray that we can sell it. Know anyone looking for a bus?
My wife figured out what is going on with the unemployment and took it hard like I thought. She is really worried about what might happen and I am trying to get her focused on faith and that God will provide, heck he gave us a BUS
Thank you all again for your prayers and please continue to pray, we are not out of the woods yet!
Blessings, Keith

Kinda thought she was suspecting something. It is so good to be open-you have a clear conscious and your mate knows your shooting straight and not holding back. You can really open up and she can trust you and not fear there is something she is not being told. Great move. I wonder how this chapter willl end or morph into the next?
Keep us abreast of your needs and how God works in your life. It is great reading of your love for God and others.

Thanks letsfish, your thoughts and prayers are deeply appreciated.

Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers. I have learned through this forum there is a real spirit that resides here. We have been personally blessed by people we have only known through this forum and on the other side, people we know and have spent personal time with have not even made a post yet post in other areas of ifish :depressed:. We have learned who the real people of Christ are and we will share our love with everyone no matter what the situation. I can't help to remember the woman in the bible who gave her only coin to help others because that was all she had and we personally practice this and identify with it.
Blessings, Keith

Trials are often difficult, as I know from experience, but if you keep the faith, when you are on the other side of the trial, you will see God's work more clearly. God will provide, only it may be in His time, not yours. Keep the faith!
We are praying for you and your family.
Thought I would update everyone:
We have been blessed again this month  God has provided for us again and I will never doubt the grace of God. Sometimes my humaness gets in the way of faith but each time this happens I am humbled. Through this humbleness my faith is deepened and for this I am eternally grateful.
I would like to say that my family and me are extremely grateful for all the thoughts, prayers and the pouring out of love. We certainly have been touched and can't thank you enough. :bearhug:
Blessings, Keith
