Hey Guys!! My names Andy and I've had and Ifish account for a few months now. So far all I have done is lurk in the shadows and soak up all of your knowledge. I've got to give it to you guys, you know your stuff! But I think its time to finally post and get in on the action. As far as a story goes, I cant say that I have one that comes close to any I hear in the forum but I'll give it a shot. I grew up in Gresham and I lived in a neighborhood with a pond close by. My dad would take me down there to fish in the evenings once I finished my homework. He'd teach me the basics. It started with a bobber and worm, then it turned into cranks and spinnerbaits. I fished that pond for years and still do on occasion. I live in Lake Oswego now and whenever I get a chance to make it back home I find time to fish for an hour or so. I hope one day I can share it with my kids (when the time comes.) I owe it to my dad for turning me onto the sport of fishing. The nights we spent together at that pond will always be with me. On another note...Keep preaching C&R!! You have changed the way I look at fishing and now I live by it. Thanks guys! And thank you Dave for helping me out when I needed it most. Heres the story: I had all my gear stolen about a year ago while fishing in Central Oregon. I was talking to a guy at Fishermans one day while grabbing some gear and I struck up a convorsation with a guy who later I would know to be Dave Smith. I told him that I had my gear stolen and I was trying to build it up again. He told me that he had a bunch of gear at home and he would look through it and help me replace my gear. About a week later I stopped by his house and he had two bags of gear for me!! Its things like that make a differance. So once again, THANK YOU DAVE! I owe you one. I cant wait to meet a few of you guys and hit the water together! Sorry for the long post guys, I'm done now. Promise
ANDY
