Hello, my name is mike, my wifes is lori, and son is Colton. We have had a very rough year. I have to start from the begining so you have history. We were living in Las Vegas and when my son was to be in middle school we moved as the schools are awful there. We moved to the middle of the rocky mountains. Beautiful, but so isolated where we were, we decided to move back to ore. and be closer to both sets of parents and my sons biological father. 9 days after putting the house on the market the haymen fire started, putting a moretorium on insurance for that area. The moretorium lifted the end of november and we waited for the sale. The week before Christmas my mother in law fell and shattered her hip. (75yr old) I got my wife on a plane in denver within 4 hrs. We put our Christmas off until her return. It was a very lonely holiday season for my son, me, and my wife. She returned the end of january and within 5 minutes of getting home, we got a call from her ex husband. He was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. Christmas sucked, new years sucked. but we were together and the house was getting looked at finally.(quite odd since the average temp was in the teens and zero's.) We were able to sell the house and made it to oregon by the end of feb. When we arrived we found the movers had just trashed our things some were irriplacible. Just another obsticle. We visited Kerry (sons dad, wifes ex) often. He was already paralyized on the right side of his whole body, but could talk and was in generally good spirits, condidering the prognosis. As the days went by we knew that he would not make the 6 months he was told he had. It wsa a horrible devistating thing. I too got along good with him and was also torn up. We took my son as often as we could to visit, and alot of things got resolved, both with lori and colton. three and a half months after arriving in oregon he passed. My son seemed to be handling things ok, but my wife was not. After buying our new home in central ore. we found my wifes girlfriend and son were being abused by an alcholic boyfriend. More Stress. We abducted the boy who is our God son, and wouldn't give him back. We were threatened and we told her if she didn't move out we would not only keep him but get the authorities involved. It got very tense, seeing the boyfriend drive by and scope out the house. The girlfriend moved in with us. Then the phonecalls started, so we changed and unlisted our number. Problem solved? not yet. Within a week, my wife started having stomach cramps that had her in tears and I wasn't elegible for insurance. We went to the doc anyway and found she had a malfunctioning gall bladder. We prayed in agreement everyday, knowing that if we had to do the surgery right away we would probably have to file bankruptcy. For two months, they kept her on pain meds, and the doc gave a couple of free blood tests to keep us up to date on her condition. Thank you God for keeping her safe. We made it till I got insurance and set it up for surgery the day we became eligable. Problem solved. You would think. Things have settled down somewhat but, out of nowhere....boom. She started hyperventilating for no reason, then major chest pain, and back to the e.r. They diagnosed her with depression, anxiety, and hyperventilation syndrome. They have tried 5 different meds and she is getting worse. We were up at 3am thismorning with chest pains and numbness in both arms. How scary this was. We went back to the e.r. Where they again prescribed 2 more different kinds of meds. She is pretty much a basket case now and is afraid of everything as it will bring on a panic attack. All of this is new, she has never had any of these problems before, and is afraid she'll end up like her father who had major heart problems. We are both just emotional basket cases right now from lack of sleep, worry and stress. She is a very powerful pray-er, and I have witnessed things that I call miracles from her prayers on many occasions. I took her tuna fishing on the boat I worked on charter fishing. The skippers last trip on the boat. Weather started good and fishing bad. Weather turned bad and the skipper wouldn't go in. Her first time in the ocean too. a 3 day trip. So she prayed we would go in. Bang. hookup. we filled 5 totes of tuna in 6 hrs and bang on our way in. It was awesome, to witness the power of prayer in such a fast and dramatic way. The problem is she (or I) arent' getting the usual results and instead of the meds helping, she is getting worse. She is so afraid and I cant seem to comfort her or make her feel better. I would just like to see, read or hear some prayers so I could show her. She knows she is on the prayer chain at my old church on the coast, but I think seeing this would help her regain her shaken faith. Sorry about the novel but nervous energy has taken over. God bless to all of you, and thank you so much. Mike, Lori and Colton.
