a friend of mine is looking for some boater friendly water around portland to catch panfish with his kids. not looking for a secret spot with huge panfish, just somewhere that his kids can reel in some fish!

any help would be appreciated!

Hagg Lake by the dam is loaded with bluegills. If you fish deeper you can get some bigger ones. Use very small jigs nothing bigger than 1/32 ounce. Use Berkley ! inch power nymphs in olive color. You will kill them all day and catch small bass to boot. loads of fun for the kids. You can also use a casting bubble for weight to get the light stuff out. Have fun and be safe. Also...is the full color "Pearl Olive Shad" that you are talking about??
