Went to Crescent yesterday with elklaker. After forgetting to put in the plug and seeing how well my bilge pump works, we trolled for browns for an hour with no takers. The sun was already on the water. We downriggered for macks for a couple hours and still nothing. Went back to where we marked some macks and tried jigging for about an hour and caught this guy.

The wind came up and made it hard to jig so we pulled out and went over to Cultus and fished for 3 more hours. Not a bite. Should have been there in the morning I think. Only 1 or 2 fishermen on each lake. Everybody was out chasing bambi yesterday I think. Fishing was slow but I needed a day on the water and so did elklaker.

Nice Laker Joe, I am contemplating Crane or Waldo for Brookies:food: this coming Weds. Whats the weather suposed to be middle week ? Glad you had a bilge pump, I hate it when that happens.........twice for me. It will probable happen again, my boat doesn't a a pump, except for my @$# bucket. It works but the sting of doing it stays for a while. Any way nice report and talk to you later.

I'm hoping I got "forgetting to put the plugs in" out of the way for awhile. I forgot on my second voyage in my new boat. Luckily the bilge pump worked well and I was able to get the plugs in quickly from inside the boat. I think it was a good lesson (but embarassing nonetheless).

I'm new to the lake fishing. Crescent sounds like a great place for kokes, but I don't even know where to start there. Theres a lot more info regarding Odell available.
